Direct primary care is a different way of approaching pediatric care. Instead of billing insurance for each visit, families pay a simple monthly fee that covers their child's care. This allows for longer visits, easier communication, and more personalized, accessible support without the overhead of insurance billing.

Do I still need health insurance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our practice is designed to work alongside your insurance - not replace it. We recommend maintaining health insurance for ER visits, hospitalizations, specialist consultations, lab work, and medications. Your membership covers primary care - which is where most families spend the majority of their healthcare time and money. For those without insurance, we offer deeply discounted labs and imaging where you know the cost upfront.

Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for membership?

In many cases, HSA and FSA funds can be used for DPC membership fees. We recommend checking with your plan administrator to confirm eligibility.

How do I reach my pediatrician between visits?

Accepted Answer

Families can communicate directly with their pediatrician through secure messaging, as well as phone or video when needed. No phone trees, long hold times, or waiting days for a response.

Can I get same-day sick appointments?

Yes - same-day and next-day sick appointments are available. Together Pediatrics keeps its patient panel intentionally small so families can get seen quickly.

How much does Together Pediatrics cost?

Accepted Answer

Membership is $140/month for children 0–11 months, $120/month for ages 12 months–4 years, and $100/month for ages 5 and older. The family maximum is $350/month. There is a one-time $95 enrollment fee per family.

Does Together Pediatrics bill insurance?

No. We don't bill insurance for primary care services. Your monthly membership covers all included services directly. This is intentional. It's what lets us spend more time with your child and stay accessible without an insurance company in the middle. You can still use insurance for medications, vaccines, lab work, and specialty care.

Can you be my child's only doctor?

Yes - for primary care. Together Pediatrics provides comprehensive primary pediatric care including well visits, sick care, vaccines, chronic condition management, developmental screenings, and more.

Will membership pricing change over time?

Accepted Answer

Together Pediatrics is intentionally limiting the size of the practice so that I can provide highly personal, relationship-centered care. As the number of children in the practice grows, membership pricing for new families will gradually increase. Families who join earlier will keep the membership rate they enrolled at, as long as they remain continuously enrolled.
